My Loft Virtual Tour

Welcome to Valley View Lofts.com

Hi, my name is Gary Batt; I am 57 years old and have kept many varieties of pigeons since I was 7 years of age. Including about 20 varieties of show pigeons and a wide collection of race birds, which include old Australian bloodlines and imports.

I also keep Australian parrots and cockatoos and several varieties of native pigeons and doves.

Breeds of show pigeons include carriers, tumblers, tipplers, highflyers, carneau, archangels, helmets, nuremberg larks, damascene, pigmy pouters, fairy swallows, ice pigeons and frill backs.

Racing pigeons include rare colours such as yellows, silvers, mosaics, reds, blacks and white racers.

I am now semi-retired after a 40-year career in the insurance industry with QBE. And now work on a casual basis for a broker. I live on a small 5-acre farm let in the Latrobe Valley, which is located in Gippsland, Victoria.

I originally started racing in 1989 and joined the Morwell racing pigeon club in the Gippsland pigeon federation. I have been secretary of this club for about 20 years and have held federation positions including fed secretary in the past.

I have made many life long friends over the past 20 plus years racing pigeons. Such as Grenville Evans, David Gray, Brian Hurren previously of the VHA. We have swapped pigeons over the years and have had good success with each other’s birds. I have also raced well with Roy Hindsons pigeons from Kyabram, mainly morrison barkers.

I have won four young bird federation aggregates and many federation wins over the past 20 years. See my federation results links.

Thankyou for visiting my website, send me an email if you would like any further information about my race birds.

Gary Batt.
